FIR against ward boy who filmed Rishi Kapoor’s last video? Central Minister asks for ward boy’s suspension

The utterly shocking unethical and illegal video apparently shot by a ward boy at the hospital where Rishi Kapoor breathed his last, capturing his dying moments violates the actor’s private space on so many levels, it is  a straight case of a law-breaking public servant misusing his power for self-advancement.

FIR against ward boy who filmed Rishi Kapoor’s last video? Central Minister asks for ward boy’s suspension

According to sources close to the Kapoor family, they are looking at taking legal action against the offender. “Right now the family is in a different frame of mind. But once there is some respite from the tragedy on hand, they will certainly take action against the ward boy,” a source close to the Kapoor family informs.

The source also wonders if the man seeing haranguing the terminally ill icon on his deathbed in such a high-end hospital is actually a ward boy.  “Could it be someone simply strolling in casually, maybe another patient’s visitor who saw a golden opportunity of instant fame? Because ward boys are trained to care for the sick not harass them,” asks the source.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is horrified by this blatant invasion of privacy. “This is what the era of social-media exposure has done to us. It has killed our conscience and turned us into vultures. What this fellow has done is disgusting. He should be prosecuted.”

Producer Pahlaj Nihlani rightly wonders, “If this can happen to someone like Rishi Kapoor, what indignities must the less privileged have to suffer in their death beds?”

Singer and Central minister Baabul Supriyo thinks this violation of privacy must be punished. “I don’t know if arresting him is a possibility. Mobile phones have contaminated the term privacy for life!! Not only him, all the other ward boys seen in the video, who didn’t stop him from committing that immoral act, should be punished. Hospitals should actually have a zero tolerance policy for such acts and the ward boys may very well be sacked for good. He should  be suspended for a month without salary and then transferred to the office of the hospital. He doesn’t deserve to be in the ICU or Medical Ward.”

Fans and friends of Rishi Kapoor sincerely advocate strong judicial measures against such brutal violation of a dying individual’s private space.

"Perseverance comes naturally to me," says Anushka Sharma, who started working at the age of 15

Anushka Sharma turns 32 today and the successful superstar and entrepreneur opened up about how she believed in herself right from when she started out as a model at a super young age of 15. Her rise and rise in Bollywood is an inspiration to many given she made a huge mark in the industry despite being a total outsider with no industry connections.

"Perseverance comes naturally to me," says Anushka Sharma, who started working at the age of 15

“Perseverance comes naturally to me. It’s not something that you have to be hard on yourself for, it leads you. Honestly, life leads you! I can vouch for it! Life has lead me to where I am you know. Sometimes, you just put your head down and follow the road life takes you on,” says Anushka.

The superstar, who is also the youngest woman producer of Bollywood having started Clean Slate Films when she was just 25, considers her father Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma to be her greatest teacher. “I went to Army Public School in Bangalore and I have had some really good teachers there and I was very close to them and they have had a very lasting impression in my mind and my principal also. But my dad taught me some invaluable lessons,” she says.

Anushka says, “He would drop me to school and he would have these conversations with me because the journey was a little bit long. He would just tell me one thing and it has had such a lasting impression in my mind and in my personality and the way I deal with challenges in life. It’s really been extremely special. The thing that he told me was no matter what situation you are in, no matter how bad the situation is, always do the right thing and pray to god that you know what is the right thing to do is at that moment.”

The actress adds, “I think that’s something that stuck with me cause I was so young and I really look up to my father. He is a very wise man and he has had a huge impression on my life. So, when he said that to me it really stuck with me."

Anushka says this advice helped her when she started out as a model at a very young age! “I started working when I was so young. It was important for me to know all this because at the age of 14-15, when you are taking decisions for yourself and your career, it’s really hard. That’s what’s gave me clarity. That’s what I did and I think that’s something that has always stood out for me,” she says.

"How can I begin to feel alone when millions are grieving with us at the moment?"- writes Irrfan Khan's wife Sutapa

Actor Irrfan Khan breathed his last on April 29, 2020, after a long heroic battle with a rare type of cancer. The actor who dedicated over 30 years of his life to cinema has left the world leaving behind the legacy of his craft. His demise left his fans and industry colleagues in shock. The actor is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons Babil and Ayaan.

"How can I begin to feel alone when millions are grieving with us at the moment?"- writes Irrfan Khan's wife Sutapa

Two days after his demise, Irrfan Khan's family have released a statement expressing their emotions. "How can I write this as a family statement when the whole world is taking it as a personal loss? How can I begin to feel alone when millions are grieving with us at the moment? I want to assure everyone that this is not a loss, it is a gain. It’s a gain of the things he taught us, and now we shall finally begin to truly implement it and evolve. Yet I want to try to fill in the things that people don’t already know," the statement began.

It’s unbelievable for us but I would put it in Irrfan’s words, “it’s magical” whether he is there or not there, and that’s what he loved, he never loved one-dimensional reality. The only thing I have a grudge against him is; he has spoiled me for life. His strive for perfection doesn’t let me settle for ordinary in anything. There was a rhythm which he always saw in everything, even in cacophony and chaos, so I have learnt to sing and dance to the music of that rhythm, even with my tone-deaf voice and two left feet. Funnily, our life was a masterclass in acting, so when the dramatic entry of the “uninvited guests” happened, I had by then learnt, to see harmony in the cacophony. The doctor’s reports were like scripts which I wanted to perfect, so I never miss any detail that he sought for in his performance," it read.

"We met some amazing people in this journey and the list is endless, but there are some whom I have to mention, our oncologist Dr. Nitesh Rohtogi (Max hospital Saket) who held our hand in the beginning, Dr. Dan Krell (UK), Dr. Shidravi (UK), my heartbeat and my lantern in the dark Dr. Sevanti Limaye (Kokilaben hospital). It’s difficult to explain what a wondrous, beautiful, overwhelming, painful and exciting this journey has been. I find this 2 and 1/2 years to have been an interlude, which had it’s own beginning, middle and culmination with Irrfan helming the role of the orchestra conductor, separate from the 35 years of our companionship, ours was not a marriage, it was a union. I see my little family, in a boat, with both my sons Babil and Ayaan, paddling it forward, with Irrfan guiding them “wahan nahi, yahan se modo” but since life is not cinema and there are no retakes, I sincerely wish my children sail this boat safely with their father’s guidance in mind and rockabye through the storm.

Writing about the things that their children learnt from Irrfan, Sutapa wrote,"I asked my children, if possible, they could sum up a lesson taught by their father that has been important to them;
Babil: ’Learn to surrender to the dance of uncertainty and trust your faith in the universe”
Ayaan: “Learn to control your mind and to not let it control you.”

"Tears will flow as we will plant a raat ki rani tree, his favourite, to the place where you have put him to rest after a victorious journey. It takes time but it will bloom and the fragrance will spread and touch all the souls whom I won’t call them fans but family for years to come," the statement concludes.
