“Please stop being so gullible” – Farhan Akhtar blasts reports claiming Sushant Singh Rajput’s former cook Keshav works for him

Actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar is setting the record straight on several rumors floating around on the news channels. The actor responded to news coverage that stated that Sushant Singh Rajput’s former cook, Keshav was working for him. The news channel claimed that the cook was working for Sara Ali Khan and Farhan Akhtar.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Farhan Akhtar blasted the claims and wrote, “For the record: I have no person named Keshav working at mine. Unsurprisingly, another lie by a fake news channel famous for peddling lies. Please stop being so gullible. Just because a guy screams it out on TV doesn’t make it true.”

Earlier, while speaking to India Today on the insider-outsider debate and how Rhea Chakraborty was being treated in media-debates, he said, “It is one of the greatest tragedies that I can think of in recent times. It is a tremendous loss to the fraternity. It enrages you when you see that his family is not given the opportunity to breathe. Theories are being spun about why he did it. This is not the time for that. Let some time pass. Right now its speculation from abetment to murder to every crazy thing. Everyone suddenly knew what he thought, his journey and everything about him. What followed is a circus. Be kind, be more inclusive, be aware, reach out, but right now everyone is either got a sword out or holding a shield. It’s ugly. We should remember him for his great work and talent, mourn the fact that we lost somebody who had great potential.”

“Sleep my brother Sleep. Let the vultures gather and the crocodiles weep, let the circus performers juggle, contort, bow and leap. Let the shrill get higher let the darkness in the hearts of men get deep. Sleep my brother sleep. RIP Sushant,” Farhan Akhtar had written on social media on June 16, two days after Sushant’s death.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14. The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing his death.

Ishq Subhan Allah star Adnan Khan reveals how he reconnected with his old self during the lockdown

With the lockdown gradually lifting and people across the country stepping out into the new normal, Zee TV resumed the shoot of its popular shows and reconnected its audiences through the journeys of their beloved characters and diverse storytelling. While we saw several twists and turns in each and every show, the popular Ishq Subhan Allah saw the return of the original Zara Siddiqui, which was essayed by Eisha Singh till last year. However, that’s not it! For all the Kabeer (Adnan Khan) and Zara fans, the show also saw the reunion of the original lead pair in grand fashion along with a series of twists and turns to their love story as well.

While the Lockdown had made everyone's life gloomy, the fresh twists in Ishq Subhan Allah came as a welcome surprise for the audience. However, actor Adnan Khan revealed to us how Lockdown was a blessing in disguise for him too. The actress undertook a soul searching journey and has rediscovered himself. In fact, he now has a new set routine as well.

As Adnan Khan who plays the role of Kabeer in Ishq Subhan Allah revealed, “It is true that due to the social distancing protocols, this pandemic has made us adapt to a new normal. People are spending a lot of time with themselves, be it at work or at the shoot. During this period of lockdown, I too ventured into some soul searching and finally managed to re-connect with the old me, that I had somehow lost beneath all the layers of work, commitments, and other responsibilities. Thus, when the lockdown happened, I got re-introduced to myself. The old me was indeed happier and a lot more content in life, quite contrary to how I feel these days where every day is a battle and one has to fight to stick around a little longer. Going back to work and having to take all the responsibility feels like a bit of a burden sometimes. So, during the lockdown, by going back to being the old me gave a sense of comfort and now that things are getting normal in a steady fashion, I hope I do not lose the old me and the happiness he brought back with him.”

Furthermore, the actor shared his process of unwinding, as he added, “I have inculcated the habit of praying. I do pray on set too. I find the whole process very calming. It brings quite a peaceful effect on my soul. I have also engaged myself in reading a lot more. That’s how I unwind. I do a lot of functional training as well because I feel physical and mental wellbeing is essential to wear off the lockdown blues. On the set, though there is very little equipment, I still mix things up and workout during the break. The exercises I do every day, mostly depends on my mood and as per that I decide if I want to do push ups, some leg workout or core workout or cardio. Functional training has been my go to during the lockdown and I feel it has helped me immensely.”

Rekha is not making a comeback

What do you do when your soap/serial is called Ghum Hai Kissike Pyar Mein? The immortal Lata Mageshkar-Kishore Kumar love ballad from the 1972 Manmohan Desai film Rampur Ka Lakshman composed by Rahul Dev Burman and written by Majrooh Sultanpuri which was filmed on Rekha and Randhir Kapoor?

Rekha is not making a comeback

You rope in the ravishing Rekha to promote the serial. Apparently Star Plus went out of its way to coax cajole and persuade Rekha to do a promotional video for ‘Ghum Hai Kissike Pyar Mein’. She finally relented but has apparently charged a bomb (close to Rs 5 crores) for the 2-minute appearance.

To be fair Rekha looks like a million bucks in the promotional clip. She also sings the opening lines of the song ‘Ghum Hai Kissike Pyar Mein’. For those who came in late Rekhaji loves to sing. She has sung ‘Din Dhal Jaye’ from the film Guide on the phone for this writer. She has also sung for herself in the films Khubsoorat and Ek Naya Rishta.

All this is child’s play for Rekha. And a most welcome appearance for her fans. However her association with the soap ends here. So please, let’s not call it a comeback.

Yoodlee Films finishes four projects during COVID-19

Four films in various stages of completion in the last four months of the pandemic. Sounds like a tall order, but this is exactly what one new-age production house has gone ahead and done. The unexpected onset of a global pandemic notwithstanding, Yoodlee Films has moved into the next gear, by completing four feature films, in the last few months. COVID-19 has pushed the Indian film industry to rethink production logistics, on-set protocol, safety regulations for cast and crew, and challenged conventional distribution, publicity, and release methodologies. In the midst of this, Yoodlee Films has defied all odds and has successfully managed to complete the shooting of two feature films simultaneously, with all directives and measures in place.  Alongside they have also wrapped up the post-production work on two other films, which are now being readied for release.

Yoodlee Films finishes four films during COVID- 19

Agra stars an ensemble cast headed by Rahul Roy who makes a comeback, along with Priyanka Bose, Mohit Agarwal, Ruhani Sharma, Vibha Chibber, Sonal Jha, and Aanchal Goswami. It explores confined spaces and suppressed sexuality in small towns and promises to start a conversation around taboo subjects. Agra which is being touted as a festival favorite is directed by Kanu Behl, whose 2015 debut Titli won much critical acclaim.

Bahut Hua Samman stars Raghav Junyal, Sanjay Mishra, Nidhi Singh, and Ram Kapoor among others.  The film tweaks the idea of a heist caper and follows two students as they ideate to pull off a fool-proof robbery. Directed by Ashish Shukla and the film is set to launch on Disney+ Hotstar VIP on October 2, 2020. Comedy Couple starring Saqib Salim and Shweta Basu Prasad and directed by Nachiket Samant, is an insightful look into the lives of two stand-up comics in the metro and is being touted as ‘com-rom’. The film will premiere on Zee 5 Premium on the 21st of October. Zombivali, is a unique Marathi horror comedy, featuring zombies for the first time, is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and stars popular actors Amey Wagh, Lalit Prabhakar, and Vaidehi Parshuram.

Ravi Kishan gets Y+ security after receiving death threats post his comments on the drugs nexus

BJP MP Ravi Kishan had recently made some bold comments on the Bollywood industry being the drugs nexus and his views were opposed by Samajwadi Party MP, Jaya Bachchan. Jaya Bachchan’s speech, needless to say, had gone viral in no time and Ravi Kishan had also responded to it. Post which, Anurag Kashyap had revealed that Ravi Kishan used to smoke marijuana and is not clean because he’s a member of the ruling political party in the country.

Ravi Kishan has been receiving death threats on social media for his comments on the industry and has been assigned with Y+ security by UP’s CM Yogi Adityanath. Ravi Kishan took to his Twitter to thank the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for his help in the matter. He wrote in Hindi, which roughly translates to, “Respected @myogiadityanath Maharaj ji, with my security in mind the Y+ category protection you have activated for me, my family and the people of my Lok Sabha constituency has made us indebted to you and we thank you for it. My voice will continue to resonate in the House.”
