Varun Dhawan roped in as the brand ambassador of OPPO India’s F19 series smartphones

Actor Varun Dhawan has added one more well-known brand to his list of brand endorsements. Oppo India has announced that the Badlapur actor will be the brand ambassador of their next generation of smartphones in its popular F-series which is all set to launch.

Oppo India has reportedly confirmed that their smartphones OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G and F19 Pro come with the tagline 'Flaunt the Nights'. The brand has announced Varun Dhawan as the series ambassador.

In 2019, OPPO India had announced Ranbir Kapoor as their brand icon and had roped in Katrina Kaif and Badshah as 'brand friends' for the Reno series of OPPO. The three were seen sharing screen for an ad film of OPPO India.

Meanwhile, the OPPO F19 series will be launched in India pretty soon. The launch might happen soon as the phones are now listed on Amazon India.

Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 likely to be shot in U.A.E, Istanbul and Europe

News of the third instalment in the Tiger franchise has been doing the rounds since the success of the first two films. Yash Raj Films had even confirmed that a third film in the franchise featuring Salman Khan was being planned. In fact, the team even commenced work on the project with director Maneesh Sharma at the helm. Now we hear that YRF, who have been leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the third film is bigger than the preview two have zeroed in on three overseas locations to shoot Tiger 3.

“Yash Raj Films is looking to make Tiger 3 on an even bigger and grander scale than the first two, and for this reason viewers will be treated to plenty of action, drama and of course exotic locations. Currently like most films that shoot overseas, YRF has zeroed in on three potential overseas destinations viz. U.A.E, Istanbul and Europe to shoot Tiger 3”, says a well-placed trade source.

Interestingly, while all three destinations hold promise, the source tells us that Istanbul seems to be the front runner currently when it comes to locations. “Istanbul offers immense concessions and ease of permissions to film units that are looking to shoot big budget ventures that will depict their country.” With Istanbul offering exotic locales with stunning views, and concessions to filmmakers our source claims that this location is the frontrunner currently for the first schedule.

As for the film, Tiger 3 that stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi is being directed by Maneesh Sharma. Said to take the story of Tiger forward the film is being readied for release in 2022.

EXCLUSIVE: Release date announcement and poster launch of Tara Sutaria-Ahan Shetty’s Tadap and Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 tomorrow

Housefull producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment made an announcement on Monday stating that not one but two announcements will be made on the 2nd of March. The fans will have to be around from 10 AM to 12 noon to be sure they catch up with what is next from the banner.

The tweet read, “A special moment we all have been waiting for ♥. Stay tuned tomorrow from 10 AM to 12 Noon for roller coaster ride #SajidNadiadwala @wardakhannadiadwala @foxstarhindi #FoxStarStudios.”

According to our sources, “The two announcements will be related to their upcoming lineup. As production houses are taking a bet on theatres and announcing release dates, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment will announce the release date of Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 – the film that brings the actor back with the banner. Taking his debut franchise forward, Tara Sutaria will be starring opposite him for the second time after Student Of The Year 2. Interestingly, it is also Tiger’s birthday on March 2^nd, so the makers are keen to share more details!”

The source further added, “They will also announce the release date of Tadap, RX 100 remake, starring Tara Sutaria and Ahan Shetty. This film marks the debut of Suniel Shetty’s son as Milan Luthria directs the project. Along with both the announcements, the makers will also unveil first look posters to get the excitement rolling amongst the fans!”

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only film Tiger Shroff is doing with Sajid Nadiadwala’s production. He is also starring Baaghi 4 which will mark the return of Ahmed Khan as the director.

Mumbai court issues bailable warrant against Kangana Ranaut in defamation case filed by Javed Akhtar

On Monday, a Mumbai court issued a bailable warrant against Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut after she failed to appear before the court in a defamation case filed by poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar. The court had issued a summon to the actress a month ago.

Javed Akhtar in his complaint had alleged that Ranaut made defamatory statements on national and international television. He alleged that "it appears to be a clear campaign to malign and tarnish the reputation of the complainant (Akhtar) in the eyes of the general public”. The court had summoned Kangana based on this complaint. Akhtar had recorded his statement in January.

Akhtar had said that he was shocked to see Ranaut make false and derogatory statements on national television in an interview on July 19. He said that she attributed statements to him which were false and also gave her opinion on Sushant Singh Rajput's death "without appearing to have any direct personal knowledge of the circumstances around his death”.

The court had also directed the Juhu police to conduct an inquiry and they have now also submitted a detailed report to the court as well.

On February 1, the Andheri Court after hearing arguments made by lawyer Niranjan Mundergi on behalf of his client Akhtar issued a process against Ranaut for offences under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal code pertaining to defamation. Legally, Ranaut had the option of either challenging the court's order summoning her or appear before it and deny the charges made against her.

Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal to release 5 days after Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone-starrer Fighter

The top 2 grossers of 2019 were Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and War, directed by Siddharth Anand. And now both these filmmakers are going to come up with two exciting films in 2022 and what’s more, both films would be releasing too close to each other in cinemas.

Siddharth Anand is busy shooting for Pathan at present, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. After wrapping up this Yash Raj Films (YRF) production, he’ll move on to Fighter. This aerial action flick reunites him with his War and Bang Bang (2014) actor Hrithik Roshan and also his Pathan heroine, Deepika Padukone. The film was announced on Hrithik Roshan’s birthday this year, on January 10, and it immediately led to a lot of excitement. The same day, the makers also revealed that the film would release on September 30, 2022, to take advantage of the Gandhi Jayanti national holiday on Sunday, October 2. Coincidentally, the last 2 films of Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan together also released in the same week.

Meanwhile, today, it was announced that the much talked about film Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, would release on Dussehra 2022. The holy festival, however, falls on Wednesday October 5. In other words, Animal would release 5 days after the release of Fighter!

Animal is also a biggie and its teaser video, which was released on the first day of 2021, created frenzy. Its star cast, comprising Ranbir Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, also added to the excitement. And the fact that it’s the next film of Sandeep Reddy Vanga, after the monstrous Kabir Singh, which collected Rs. 278.24 crore, has made Animal a hot commodity.

We have seen two big films releasing together but such an arrangement is rare. It’ll be interesting to see how both these films manage to excel at the box office and most importantly, manage to get adequate screens.

The gorgeous actress had been working hard to stay on top of her prep game for the film as she had been taking lots of workshops and doing regular reading sessions. And now she finally begins the shoot today.

Disha and Mohit will be reuniting after Malang. Now everyone is excited to see what the duo creates this time. Disha Patani also has Radhe all set for release besides Ek Villain 2 this year.

T-Series took to their Twitter handle to share pictures from first day of the shoot where actor John Abraham and Disha Patani are seen posing with the rest of the team including Mohit Suri and Bhushan Kumar. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria.

Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt present Darlings; Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, Roshan Mathew join the cast

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Alia Bhatt's newly announced Eternal Sunshine Productions to present the upcoming film, Darlings. Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew join the cast.

It is a unique story of a quirky mother-daughter duo navigating through crazy circumstances as they try to find their place in the world. The dark comedy is set in Mumbai against the backdrop of a conservative lower-middle-class neighbourhood and traces the lives of these two women as they find courage and love in exceptional circumstances. The film comes with its own statutory warning – a reminder that offending women can be very dangerous for your health!

Darlings marks a first for many, the directorial debut of Jasmeet K Reen with a feature film and Alia Bhatt’s first as she turns producer with Eternal Sunshine Productions. Jasmeet, who has written many films earlier, speaks of her directorial debut, “With the brilliant Alia and Shefali portraying the mother-daughter duo, along with exceptionally talented Vijay (Varma) and Roshan (Mathew) we have a dream cast and the perfect ‘partners in crime’ if I can call them that.
