Well, there have been names of various contestants which have been confirmed by the channel however there are still speculations around many. Well, a new name which has suddenly popped up in the internet is of popular TV actor Jay Bhanushali.

Yes, you heard that right the recent report by a tabloid claims that Jay has locked the deal with the makers in the last moment to enter the house as a contestant. The report suggests that the makers of the show were looking for a couple of popular TV actors and the deal with Jay materialised just a day before the contestants had to go inside the house.

Well, it will be very exciting to see Jay finally entering the house as a contestant as we have only seen him as a guest previously in the 12th and 13th season of Bigg Boss. He has been the face of various reality and Non-fiction Tv shows for a very long time. He has participated in shows including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, Nachle Ve With Saroj Khan, Nach Baliye 5, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. He has even been a part of several non-fiction shows as a host.

Raghav Juyal to play a dark character in Hasal alongside Sanjay Mishra and Ranvir Shorey

Actor, dancer, and host Raghav Juyal best known for his stint in Bahut Hua Samman and Abhay 2, is all set for his next project titled Hasal starring alongside Sanjay Mishra and Ranvir Shorey. Helmed by director Ravi Singh, the film will go on floors in December in Varanasi. It also stars Tejasvi Singh Ahlawat, Taranjit Kaur and Ishtiyak Khan among others.

On shares about Hasal, Raghav revealed, "I feel the concept of Hasal is very unique and different till date. According to me, it's dark musical, and intriguing. It’s about darkness prevailing in every human’s life some have the courage to thrive with it, some have the courage to find the obscure parts of themselves, some hustle to stand out and shine like the moon, some have the fire of revenge. It is a hustle story of four lives and their struggle to live."

Revealing about his role he continues, "This is something I have never played before, you have seen me in different roles but this time it will be surprising as I'm playing a dark character. I think the film will keep you at the edge of your seat with full of roller coaster ride, suspense, and thrill."

On reuniting with Sanjay Mishra after Bahut Hua Samman he shares,"Though I have worked before, I feel I started my real acting journey with Sanjay Mishra in Bahut Hua Samman. Reuniting with him feels like a homecoming. I have always enjoyed his company and surely it will be fun."

On working with debutante director, Raghav enthusiastically tells, "My passion gets doubled when I work with newcomer directors like Ravi who are full of enthusiasm and has a lot to bring on platter. I feel great working with new people on new ideas as it reminds me of my journey and passion I was a newcomer."

BREAKING: No Time To Die to release in Maharashtra on October 22; Shang-Chi expected on same day; Dune to have a delayed release in the state on October 29

The cinema halls in the state of Maharashtra will finally open on October 22. While Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is expected to release either on Diwali, on November 4 or 5 and with no major Hindi release expected before, it’ll be the Hollywood films which would dominate the playing programmes in the theatres and multiplexes in the first two weeks. One of the most awaited Hollywood films of the year, Dune, will be released in India, on the same day as the USA, on October 22. With theatres in the state opening on the same day, it was naturally expected that Dune would be one of the first films to have a same-day pan-India release post the second lockdown.

However, Warner Bros India today announced that while Dune would indeed release in India on October 22, it’ll have a release in Maharashtra only on October 29. It surprised many in the trade and also the fans who have been waiting to see it on the big screen. Some even feared the worst that the Maharashtra government had revised the opening date of cinemas from October 22 to October 29!

However, a source told us, “Aisa kuch nahi hai. The cinema halls will reopen on October 22. There’s no change in plans. The decision was taken by Warner Bros as there are too many films that will release on October 22 in Maharashtra. Dune would not get the required screens, especially the IMAX and 4DX screens. Hence, it was decided to delay the release of Dune by a week in the state so that it can get the best IMAX and 4DX show timings and also in normal screens. Dune is a grand, epic film which would be best enjoyed on as big a screen as possible.”

When asked which other films would be releasing on October 22, the source revealed, “The James Bond film, No Time To Die, was released all over India on September 30. But in Maharashtra, it’ll be released on October 22. Then, Sony Pictures revealed that it’ll release Venom: Let There Be Carnage in Indian cinemas on October 14 and in Maharashtra on October 22. Both these films will take up a lot of screen space.”

The source also shared one more exciting news, “Although it’s not sure as of now, Disney might release the Marvel super-hit film, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, on October 22 (it released elsewhere in India on September 3). And what if Viacom18 also decides to bring A Quiet Place Part II, releasing in India on October 8, in Maharashtra cinemas as well on the 22nd?

So it makes sense to let Dune release a week later; otherwise, the audiences would have too many films to pick and some films would suffer as a result. It’s unusual but then we are living in unusual times.”

A trade expert quipped, “Purane dino ki yaad aa gayi…a time when films would have a delayed release in certain parts of the country. Nevertheless, the pre-Diwali weeks would be an exciting period for Hollywood film lovers in Maharashtra, who have been craving to watch these films on the big screen. For the exhibitors as well, it’ll give them a nice dry run of sorts before the two biggies – Sooryavanshi and Marvel’s Eternals – arrive on Diwali.”

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Shehzada to begin shoot in October

Actor Kartik Aaryan seems to be busy with his schedule lately. The actor is shooting back to back. After completing the filming for two films, Freddy and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik is all to set to begin his third film titled Shehzada starring alongside Kriti Sanon.

According to the reports, the actor will be playing the titular role in the film. Being helmed by director Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada is expected to start rolling in October. Kartik will be reuniting with his Luka Chuppi co-star, Kriti Sanon for the film.

The film is said to be a remake of the Allu Arjun-starrer Telugu movie, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which had also featured Pooja Hegde. The film is being produced by the makers of Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey, Allu Arvind, Aman Gill and S Radha Krishna. It has also been speculated that Manisha Koirala could be a part of the film, playing a role that was done by Tabu in the Telugu original.

He recently shared his unique new version of the 'Butta Bomma' song, which featured Allu Arjun from the same film, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

Shehzada is likely to go on floor in mid-October and will be shot in Mumbai.

Disney and Scarlett Johansson settle Black Widow lawsuit - “I am happy to have resolved our differences”

The legal battle between Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson and Disney has come to an end. They have settled a breach of contract lawsuit over the star’s Black Widow payday. Though, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the lawsuit filed by the actress against the studio was poised to have dramatic implications for all of Hollywood’s major studios. Johansson stated, “I am happy to have resolved our differences with Disney. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our collaboration in years to come.”

On the other hand, Disney Studios chairman Alan Bergman added, “I’m very pleased that we have been able to come to a mutual agreement with Scarlett Johansson regarding Black Widow. We appreciate her contributions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and look forward to working together on a number of upcoming projects, including Disney’s Tower of Terror.”

The suit was filed in July in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that the studio sacrificed the film’s box office potential in order to grow its fledgling Disney+ streaming service. Disney countered that Johansson was paid $20 million for the film. Johansson’s cause received support in the industry, with talent and executives speaking out on her behalf, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Marvel’s Wanda Vision star Elizabeth Olsen and mogul Jason Blum.

In her complaint, Johansson said the Marvel had guaranteed an exclusive theatrical release when she signed her deal. She alleged that her contract was breached when the film was simultaneously released on Disney+.

Black Widow, which has earned $379 million at the worldwide box office to date, debuted at the same time in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access for an additional $30. Disney boasted on July 11 that Black Widow earned $60 million via Disney+ Premier Access. However, Johansson had been considering litigation for several months. Until the afternoon of July 28, she believed Disney would make an offer and that she wouldn’t have to file a suit. But Disney stayed in the mode of, “Let’s keep talking.”

As the coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc on Hollywood over the past 18 months, Black Widow was one of many big-budget movies, also including Warner Bros.'s Wonder Woman 1984 and Disney’s Cruella and Jungle Cruise, that were released simultaneously on streaming and in theaters. In the wake of Johansson’s suit, more than a handful of other A-listers were said to be considering filing similar suits.

While Disney has faced criticism for its handling of talent deals during the pandemic, Warner Media took a different approach by proactively doling out as much as $200 million to pay a long list of stars whose Warner Bros. films were simultaneously opening in theaters and on its HBO Max streaming service, including Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and Will Smith.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas to co-produce Broadway comedy Chicken & Biscuits

Power couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have joined hands with producers of a Broadway comedy, Chicken & Biscuits. The pair will co-produce Douglas Lyons' play. According to the Broadway website, Nick visited the creative team and cast at the theatre last week.

According to Deadline, the singer said, “Broadway has always had a special place in my heart. It helped launch my career.” The Broadway alum noted that Broadway is what the world needs after the last year and a half. He also shed light on the crux of the play. Chicken & Biscuits illustrates the significance of love, laughter, and family. Nick added that it has energy, style, and heart, a vibe unique to live theatre.

"I’ve been an avid admirer of Broadway for as long as I can remember, and the magic that you can only get from a live production has excited me all my life. To be part of the “back of house” of a production like this is a dream come true, and the cherry on top for me is being able to do this with my husband. @nickjonas has been heavily involved in Broadway since he was 7 (it kick started his career), so following his lead on this has been an amazing experience," Priyanka wrote on Instagram.

"We could not be more proud to join the producing team for Broadway’s newest show, Chicken & Biscuits. @chickenandbiscuitsbway! It is a feel-good comedy that will feed your soul! Nick also recently had the chance to spend time with the incredible cast and crew (jealous!) I can’t wait for you to experience this heart-warming ensemble. I hope you’re hungry," she wrote.

The production team includes Pamela Ross, Hunter Arnold, Leah Michalos, E. Clayton Cornelious, Kayla Greenspan, Mapleseed Productions, Curt Cronin, John Paterakis, John Joseph, and Invisible Wall Productions. It is written by playwright and actor Lyons.

Chicken & Biscuits is a family comedy, which is directed by Zhailon Levingston. The play will officially open at Circle in the Square from October 10 and run till January 2, 2022.

SCOOP: Akshay Kumar and Jagan Shakti’s ambitious double role action thriller, Mission Lion, put on hold for time being

Bollywood Hungama was the first to inform our esteemed readers that Akshay Kumar is reuniting with his Mission Mangal director, Jagan Shakti in another film. We also informed that the film in question is a sci-fi action thriller and features Akshay in a double role. Days later, it was revealed that the film is titled Mission Lion. And now we have another scoop on the project.

“Akshay Kumar and his producers, Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani have decided to put Mission Lion on the back burner. It’s a costly film, and they felt this isn’t the right time to mount a film like this given the market scenario. Even the script work was taking longer than expected. As all factors came together, the trio decided to put the film on hold for time being,” a source informed Bollywood Hungama. That’s not all, the source added, “The production budget of Mission Lion was expected to be upward of Rs. 70 crores and add to that, the acting fees of Akshay, other cast members, and the marketing spends. A film of this scale needed time with no compromise on script and budget front. The team will revisit it once the on ground scenario is better for theatrical business. In-fact, even the script had not shaped up as well as Akshay expected it to be.”

This has left Jagan unhappy because he was more than eager to commence work on this film. He has been waiting to take it on floors much before the pandemic and the plans have now gone for a toss. “However, following the success of Mission Mangal, Jagan is the man in demand. He is now gearing up to direct a film for John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor by year end, which is the remake of Malayalam hit, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. After that, he is all set for a Tamil film from Summer 2022.”

Meanwhile, Akshay is among the busiest men in the B-Town with Sooryavanshi, Raksha Bandhan, Atrangi Re, Ram Setu, Cinderella, Bachchan Pandey, Oh My God 2 and his digital debut, The End among others. His shooting calendar is blocked until summer 2022.
