Randeep Hooda and Jay Patel partner to contribute Rs.1 crore to the PM-CARES fund

To cope with COVID-19 Pandemic, India is under an unprecedented lockdown of 21 days, and the government has been making all efforts to contain the spread of the virus. However, to support the government deal with the severe health and economic ramifications, Jay Patel and Randeep Hooda, the duo from Corporate and Bollywood have partnered and stepped up to contribute rs. 1 crore to the ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund), Daily Wages Worker, Ventilators, and encouraged others to do the same.

Randeep, who has been actively involved in various environmental and social causes, said “ We salute the heroes who are serving against the life-threatening Coronavirus Disease without fear round the clock – doctors, nurses, police and daily needs suppliers. The world is going through pandemic with extreme effects of a virus that has not been experienced by any of us living today.”

Jay Patel, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, said, “As a country, India has been operating excellently in the economy for the last decade. Many new businesses have built and successfully secured a decent amount of profit over this period. So now this is a time for all of us to counter what we have gained to our country and our people. In this time of crisis, every business owner should contribute as per their capability. And that contribution can be in terms of money, technology, providing premises, donating equipment or offering their expertise.”

Kanika Kapoor tests positive for Coronavirus for the fourth time, leaving the family extremely worried

It was recently reported that Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive for Coronavirus after her return from London to Lucknow. The coveted singer was slammed soon after people found out that she threw multiple parties in a five-star hotel before getting herself checked. She has also been booked under various IPC sections for her negligence. Just a few days ago, the singer tested positive for the virus for the third time and now, has tested positive for the fourth time.

A family member spoke to a news portal about it and said that the reports have left them worried because it seems like she is not responding to the treatment. They cannot even airlift her to get advance treatment since there’s a 21-days’ lockdown imposed on the entire country. The family is extremely tensed and are hoping and praying that she recovers soon from the virus. Currently admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), was accused by the hospital authorities for her starry tantrums.

Well, there’s no other option for the family members and Kanika herself to wait and pray.

Bhushan Kumar donates a total of Rs. 12 crores for the PM-CARES Fund and CM Relief Fund

The entire world has come to a stand-still as everyone comes together to fight the global pandemic of Coronavirus. India has taken a lot of positive steps to control this widespread disease. Last week, PM Narendra Modi called for a country-wide lockdown for three weeks. The PM took it upon himself to start a public charitable trust called ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund)’, for the many distressed situations such as the Coronavirus, which will protect alleviating the suffering of those affected.

Just recently, we saw Akshay Kumar announce that he has donated Rs. 25 crores to the Fund for this cause. The actor mentioned that this is the time to do all that one can to help out others. Along with Akshay Kumar, there was also an announcement made by ace filmmaker, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar that he will also take part in this cause by pledging to donate a sum of Rs. 11 crores to the organization founded by our PM. Bhushan Kumar wrote on his Twitter account, “Today, we are all at a really crucial stage and it’s extremely important to do all we can to help. I, along with my entire @TSeries family pledge to donate Rs.11 crores to the PM-CARES Fund. We can and will fight this together, Jai Hind ????????”

Varun Dhawan donates a total of Rs. 55 lakhs towards the PM-CARES Fund and the CM Relief Fund

Ever since the Coronavirus outbreak, actor Varun Dhawan has been constantly appealing his fans to stay indoors and follow the directives and rules put out by the government. With the 21-day lockdown, the entire country is in a standstill. The country’s economy has taken been affected too. Anshula Kapoor's Fankind start a fundraiser to help migrant workers and daily wagers affected by coronavirus lockdown

Fankind, a celebrity fundraising platform has started a fundraiser to help give cash in hand to migrant workers and daily wagers (like cobblers, tailors, construction workers etc) who are out of a job due to coronavirus and therefore cannot afford to pay their rent or feed their families.

The entire donation amount will go to the unemployed labourer to help his or her family. GiveIndia will transfer the money directly to the labourers. Donors will receive a tax-exempt 80G certificate. Priyanka Chopra reveals that her grandmother always said, “Who’s going to marry her? She can’t cook”

Priyanka further said that her mother, Madhu Chopra, did not know to cook when she got married. It was her father who taught her to cook and taught everything he likes to eat.
