Varun Dhawan to head to Chandigarh for Raj Mehta's romantic comedy with Kiara Advani

Earlier in August, Bollywood Hungama exclusively revealed that Good Newwz director Raj Mehta had locked in his next script & roped in Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani for the upcoming romantic comedy. The film also stars Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor as Varun's parents. The makers plan to take the film on floors by October end.

According to a daily, Varun Dhawan recently resumed work after six months at home for Amar Kaushik's Bhediya. He will soon head off to Chandigarh to begin the schedule of Raj Mehta's romantic comedy with Kiara Advani. The film's co-producer Shashank Khaitan is already in Chandigarh to work on selected teams for the shoot and procure permission to shoot at the locations.

It is being reported that Varun Dhawan may start shooting from October 24 onwards. Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor are expected to join the cast during the last schedule.

Interestingly, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani were supposed to star in Mr. Lele, directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film was eventually shelved. Kiara appeared in Kalank in a song sequence ‘First Class’ and dance with Varun.

This will be Kiara's second outing with Raj Mehta after blockbuster Good Newwz starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh.

Bigg Boss 14 spokesperson confirms the time slot for airing the Salman Khan hosted show

Bigg Boss 14 is one of the most-watched reality shows on Indian television that has wooed its audience with new themes every year. The Salman Khan hosted show is all set to make a comeback in less than a week that will give a befitting reply to 2020. During the live press conference, Salman Khan had given a virtual tour of the house that will consist of amenities like the mall, a theatre, a restaurant, a spa, and many more.

While the launch nears, there were rumours that the show will air only for half an hour unlike its usual one-hour time slot. A spokesperson from the channel confirmed the timing and said that the show will have its usual hour-long time slot this season, too. The statement reads, “The news about the on air time of Bigg Boss to be 30 minutes is untrue. The show will air for its usual 1 hour duration Monday to Friday at 10.30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 9pm starting 3rd October”.

Well, that is some good news for the fans. As of now, only Jaan Kumar Sanu has been confirmed as the contestant for Bigg Boss 14.

Sonu Sood’s character gets larger-than-life upgrade in Kandireega sequel after his philanthropic work

Actor Sonu Sood is back to work. After spending the lockdown by helping the migrants and daily wage workers, the actor has landed in Hyderabad for the sequel of the Telugu film, Kandireega. The actor, who began work on Monday, September 28, has seen an upgrade in his character.

After seeing his philanthropic work over the last six months, the makers of the film decided to make his character larger-than-life. The makers reportedly had completed 80 percent of the film but Sonu revealed to a daily that after his work, they decided to make changes in the character. He started work on Monday with all new dialogues.

He will be in Hyderabad for a week before coming back to Mumbai to resume the shoot of Prithviraj on October 7 or 8. He has a few ad shoots that he plans to film in the evenings. Sonu Sood will be working double shifts in order to complete his schedule.

Ritesh Sidhwani's GullyBoy makes its mark at SWA Awards 2020

One of the most talked about films of 2019 which won hearts with its storyline and unwrapped the underground rap scene is Ritesh Sidhwani and Excel Entertainment's Gully Boy. The film was more of an emotion which touched hearts and was India's official entry for the Oscars .

After winning numerous accolades all across, adding another one to the rack is the Best Dialogue Award. The dialogue writer of Gully Boy, Vijay Maurya bagged the award for the Best Dialogue at the SWA Awards 2020. Manoj Bajpayee feels that news channels are not highlighting the plight of migrants

Actor Manoj Bajpayee was recently seen in the music video titled ‘Bambai Mai Ka Ba’. The actor wanted to channel the nostalgia and pride of migrants. The Bhojpuri rap highlights the plight of people who leave their native places and move to big cities in search of employment.

Talking to a news agency, Manoj Bajpayee said that it is sad that the migrant issues are not highlighted by the news channels. The actor said that he wanted the rap to reflect the pride he has for his birthplace. The Aligarh actor feels that rap is a great way to protest and express your anger. He said that he improvised a lot while performing. He also wanted to show that while there is anger, he also prides in the village he comes from.

The song was written by Dr Sagar and directed by Anubhav Sinha. Manoj Bajpayee rapped in his first language Bhojpuri while talking about issues that bother him.

Sushant Singh Rajput case: CBI says ‘no aspect ruled out’; investigation is continuing

A few days back, the lawyer representing Sushant Singh Rajput's family expressed his anger at the CBI delaying the investigation. Now, the investigating agency has said that “no aspect has been ruled out”. Sushant's family believes that he was murdered and did not die by suicide.

"The Central Bureau of Investigation is conducting a professional investigation related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in which all aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out as of date. The investigation is continuing," the agency said in its statement on Monday.

The CBI had taken up the case from the Mumbai Police in mid-August. Ever since, fans and family members of the late actor have been expecting to get closure in the case. A week ago lawyer Vikas Singh had tweeted, “Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR. The Doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it's death by strangulation and not suicide. (Sic)"

Singh also alleged that the pace of the CBI probe has slowed down and all the attention is being diverted to the drugs related probe.

Meanwhile, the AIIMS forensic team is working on the autopsy report of the late actor. They were scheduled to meet the CBI with their findings in the last week, however, the meeting was postponed.
